Doing our bit . . . to help find a cure for Breast Cancer.
When starting this business it was very important that I could give back to the community and/or help raise funds for a good cause. Therefore, I am proud to be able to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation by contributing $1 from every Pink Ribbon Gingerbread Cookie sold. So please help to raise funds for the NBCF so a cure can be found.
It is a sad fact that just about everybody knows someone that has been touched by cancer. In 2006, a beautiful woman I know lost her life to this dreadful disease. She was one of those people that you never forget. She'd walk into a room and it would light up! If you hadn't spoken to her for 6 months, she would remember every detail of your last conversation. If a conversation was getting a bit tense, she would 'crack' a joke in her irish accent and lift the mood.
Whether you met her for 5 minutes, worked with her, or knew her all your life, you knew you could always be yourself around her. At 41 with a husband and young son, it was far too early for all who knew her to lose her. I, personally, miss her wit, humor and tenacity as I'm sure everyone else does. She will always be in my thoughts.
